The drinking handbook was brought forth for three reasons. The first is pure boredom; this of course is self explanatory. The second is pure concern, the other night I was at a local party and I noticed some things which I would never want to see again. Simply put: Underclassmen do not know how to drink properly. Drinking is almost an art of style. There are general guidelines which you must follow, but after that everyone has their own style. A great drinker Rice Warner once said, “Don’t worry about me; there’s a method to my madness.” This quote was said while he was sniffing a flask of Takka preparing himself mentally and spiritually to drink it. You can find out more about Rice’s style in the section, ‘Tips from the pros’. The third reason for the handbook’s creation is a reference. This handbook should document most of the beverages commonly consumed in the high school arena. We have experts covering Beer (domestic, imported, and beer which is contained in a 40 ounce bottle), Wine, Hard alcohol, and of course Takka (a category of its own). I would like to pay a debt of gratitude to the authors of the sections: Michael Tanker, Steve the Smoker, Old English, Sir Drink a Lot, and Master of the Spliff. Not all sections have been completed yet, they soon will. |
